Celeste del Mar

A place that feels like home. Home in paradise. The location is unbeatable. You will find Playa Mermejita right in front of your door step and hear the waves at night. The owner and all people working at Celeste Del Mar are super friendly. I came back during my trip to stay here again for a couple of nights since I liked it so much. As a female solo traveler, I always felt safe and comfortable. The rooms are nicely decorated, provide you with everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. I can definitely recommend Celeste Del Mar!

Lovely hosts in a very nice part of town where you are a stones throw from the beach. Rooms are simple but nicely furnished, no Aircon but the fan does the trick just fine, wifi works and it's a great place to disconnect. Couldn't recommend this place enough.

I stayed here a whole month and LOVED it! I was welcomed and treated so warmly by the owners/hosts. It’s situated just behind the beach entrance (through the mangroves) to Playa Mermejita, which is a stunning, chill beach with the most amazing sunsets! There are only a few restaurants, a cafe, and a small convenience store nearby, but it’s plenty really. And the main part of Mazunte is just a 10-minutes walk over the hill, and there’s a lot more going on over there - restaurants, shops, cafes, etc. and tons of them. The hotel rooms are spacious, cleaned often, and comfortable. Clean bath and beach towels provided regularly. And the pool is delightful - half shaded, with a pool deck for lounging! The owner is on-site and is quick to answer questions and provide advice for local amenities.

Two Irish girls stopping by at this insanely gorgeous place! A really beautiful location right beside where everyone goes to watch the sunset, there’s a little hill which we enjoyed sets you up for a delicious margarita. Fall asleep listening to the ocean after reading your book in the hammock above. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the owner Siddhartha organised the most incredible whale watching trip, we were so grateful to see so many humpbacks and dolphins up close. Truly magical. Personally I didn’t miss air con as there’s a sea breeze and the fan was perfect. We woke up to freshly chopped fruit each morning and they welcomed us with a lovely cold beer. Laundry service available also which was great! Highly recommend great stay!

Excellent hospitality, we loved our stay here. It’s 50 steps from the beautiful Playa Mermejita, the facilities were lovely and clean. We will 100% stay here when we come back to Mazunte.

Beautiful place right on the beach. Very nice and chill bungalows, perfect to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of Mazunte. Very nice host and personnel that will help you with anything you need!

Celeste del mar (also known as Casa Siddharta) A truly magical place. Beautiful, spotless rooms with incredibly comfortable beds and the softest sheets I’ve ever slept in! Hot water, good pressure, and everything thoughtfully taken care of. We had an extra upstairs space where we practiced yoga overlooking the ocean. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was unforgettable. I’ve rarely slept this well. What really makes this place special is the hosts. Siddharta and his partner are exceptionally kind, warm, and welcoming. The atmosphere is calm, caring, and deeply human – you immediately feel at home and don’t want to leave. Coffee and toast in the morning, a lovely small pool, the best beach with a really good restaurant just around the corner, stunning sunsets one minute away, and one of the best cafés I’ve ever visited nearby. Very fast internet so we could work from here.. Not a party place – but perfect if you’re looking for peace, warmth, and genuine hospitality. We will definetly be back!

This place is AMAZING. Peaceful, comfortable, the sound of the ocean lulling you to sleep and a wonderful host. I feel restored and re-energised and so grateful to have found this place, amongst what seems to be a very busy Mazunte. A short 5min walk to the town, is a small price to pay for pure paradise, highly recommended!
